Eyes looking, observing, but not seeing each other. Eyes in search of one another, of their reflection in the other’s gaze. Eyes in search of recognition, a proof of their own existence. A quest which can lead us to approval seeking behavior, even if it means a denial of self. The incomprehension of the other one weighs on us, and loneliness awaits us. Eyes in search of themselves, getting lost, forgetting themselves and finally disappearing.
